Office Ultrasound
Lakeside ENT & Allergy first introduced office ultrasound to our Canandaigua office in 2011. This quickly became a powerful and useful tool in our evaluation of patients with thyroid, parathyroid, and other masses of the head and neck. We have the ability to acquire physician-performed imaging immediately during the office visit, rather than scheduling the study elsewhere and a patient returning for a 2nd visit to review results. This overall improves patients′ care, communication, convenience, and safety as there is no radiation exposure. Lakeside ENT physicians now utilize office ultrasonography daily in all three office locations for diagnostic examinations as well as for ultrasound-guided biopsies in the head and neck region.
